Learn a choreographed dance fusing  different dance styles, such as but not just, jazz, modern, disco, jive, salsa or street,  together with aerobics to increase fitness in a fun way. 

To keep things interesting, our dances are different every one to two weeks, so one week you might be strutting your Saturday Night Fever or jumping to a lively Jive & the next, swishing around to a spicy Salsa.

And don't worry if you don't consider yourself a dancer, the dances may change but each will include a selection of familiar dance or aerobic moves as well as learning something new in each dance.  And we use the warm up to practice these steps too so week by week you're improving technique & fitness.

Plus, different options of a dance move are given so you can go at your own pace & make your own challenges; this is very much a class for you.... there's no pressure, just the chance for you to get what you want from the class, be it learning new steps, building up fitness or just having fun.

And we like you to feel it's your class, so we encourage you to add your own style to the dance, as well as welcoming song requests to use for the warm up, the cool down or dances & give you opportunities to vote for your favourite dance so you can dance it & enjoy it again.

Tap to all sorts of music & styles, making Tap not just for the traditional but for today. 

  

Come & join us as we build up a choreographed short dance over a few weeks, learning or improving technique  along the way. 

We've danced to styles & songs such as Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5, Night Fever by Bee Gees, Moses from Singin in the Rain, Think by Aretha Franklin, L.O.V.E by Michael Buble, Forget You by Cee Lo Green, Papa Loves Mambo by Nat King Cole, Teddy Bear by Elvis & 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton.

In our routines, varying levels of difficulty of the same steps are demonstrated, so you can match your ability to the routine & set your own challenges; so everyone dances together.  During the routine, there will be opportunities to learn technique & often moments of individual guidance as well as learning about rhythm & being encouraged to style the dance to the music, so the chance for self-expression is available for those who want to share flair !

Classes are relaxed & friendly, encouraging groups to work together to help each other.  A warm up always starts the class so you can pick up steps here too & a cool down/stretch always ends the class. 

Although dances are built up over a few weeks, you can join anytime as we always learn something new each week so you'll always be involved.  Plus we normally recap from previous weeks so you can be familiar with the whole dance.
